I bought my dough enhancer at Walmart for $5.87. It will last me quite a while as I only use 2-3 TBSP per loaf of bread. Since I've fallen in love with this product, I wanted to learn more about the company Blue Chip Group and see what other products they offer. Thankfully, they have an outlet that's located about 15 minutes from where I live, so I piled the kids in the car and off we went.
I have to say- I'm SO glad I decided to go! You all know I like grocery shopping, but shopping for food storage is a bit different as I had no coupons and didn't know what to expect. I have to say: shopping at Blue Chip Group was downright enjoyable!
We walked in and were greeted right away by several employees. They answered my questions, grabbed me a cart and showed my kids where they could get free chocolate milk. That's right, free chocolate milk! Blue Chip Group's main product is Morning Moo's milk, which is powdered milk for your food storage. I bought a #10 can a while ago at Dick's Market for $8.00, but it's for my food storage- I've never actually tasted it! So it was fun to be able to sample both the chocolate milk and regular milk. It was GOOD too, and that's coming from an avid milk- drinker!
I did manage to find a great deal on Quick Oats. The #10 cans were on sale, buy one get one free. So I got 2 cans for $7!
Thanks Blue Chip Group for the great experience I had today! To visit the outlet, go here for directions. Tell them you heard about them from Utah Deal Diva!
Interested in the products but don't live close to SLC? Go here to order online! Morning Moo's Milk and other Blue Chip products are also available at several Walmarts and Costco's in Utah!

I have to admit: this little trip of ours did have another purpose. I was picking up the items for the GIVEAWAY that's starting on Monday!! That's right, Utah Deal Diva is going to help you score some great items from the Blue Chip Group to supplement (or start!) your food storage! This Giveaway is going to be a little different though, so be sure to check back to find out all the fun details. I'll tell you one bit of info though: there will be multiple winners!

I also love the dough enhancer. I heard that the their milk isn't really milk, but an alternative to milk. What is it made of?
Yes- it's a milk alternative. Primary ingredient is sweet dairy whey. "Whey is a by-product of cheese making. It is formed when the curds separate from the milk or cream. After the cheese curds are formed, the remaining liquid is called whey. This liquid is watery and thin. Sometimes whey has a tinge of bluish color, but this depends on the quality and type of milk used." I compared the ingredients to regular liquid milk and Moo's Milk contained less sugar, much less cholesterol, but also less protein. It also had more vitamins than regular milk! Overall, I think it's a great substitute and excellent product for your food storage.
Just discovered your blog off of a friend's blog who recommended your site. Thanks for this post - I can't wait til our next trip to SLC to check this place out! We live in Cedar City, so we don't have all the options and cool places to check out. But we do have Albertsons, Smiths, Lins, and Wal-mart, so I'm hoping your site can help me find ways to take better advantage of their sales!
We keep a small can of Morning Moo's whipping cream powder in the pantry- for times when we want whipped cream but didn't plan ahead well enough. It's the best fake whipping cream we've ever had.
(Just a plug for another of their products)
I like the dough enhancer as well, I keep mine in the fridge because the can lasts such a long time.
Oi, parabéns pelo seu excelente blog. Gostaria de lhe convidar para visitar meu blog e conhecer alguma coisa sobre nossa luta contra o comunismo no Brasil. Abração
Thanks for bringing up Blue Chip Foods, I am a HUGE fan of their milk products and freeze dried fruits and veggies -- they're a great addition to my food storage. http://bit.ly/i1m1u The dough enhancer is a great secret to excellent bread. Also, we borrowed one of the great photos on your blog and posted credit to you -- hopefully that is okay with you.
I found you looking for reviews on their products. Please post anything else that you have tried from this company! I am sooo happy to finally get my food storage started! I have always had a large pantry, but am expanding to longer term and need any advice anyone can give.. thanks so much!
These site provides a great resource for my family's food storage. We have found so many great deals that have helped a lot with our budget.
Beware that the storage time for Morning Moo is much shorter than other powdered milk. I learned the hard way and have had to throw a bunch out. 10 year old Maple Island is fine but the Moo milk has yellowed and smells/tastes bad. Both were stored in #10 cans in the same environment.
How long did your MM last? Did you store it in a cool place?
LOVE that Morning Moo's milk. Country Fresh Non Fat Dry Milk is great too and is higher in protein than MM. MM tastes richer... not so much like skim milk. Confusing info about shelf life. My MM in a sealed #10 can says 25 years, one year after opening. The MM Chocolate says 15 years. The Country Fresh says 10 years. All say one year after opening.
