Fun, Free Events for this weekend!

Pin It Here are just a few of the MANY events that are going on this weekend in honor of Independence day! Just about every city has something going on, so I encourage you to go here, check out your city's web page and take advantage of these free activities!

July 3rd Celebration at the Canyons: The annual early Independence Day bash features music by the Disco Drippers and a huge fireworks display. The concert takes place in the Canyons Resort Village. Park in the main lot and ride the Cabriolet into the Resort Village. No blankets or chairs can be brought in before 5pm. Due to the popularity of this event, carpooling is advised. More info here. Murray Fun Days: An all-day Fourth of July celebration featuring a breakfast (6:30am-10am at pavilion #5 - Adults $5; Children $3), a 5K race (8am; $15-$30), a Kids Race (9am; ages 4-9; $10; must preregister), a parade (8:30am; starts at Fashion Place and ends at Murray Park), free games, food booths, paid activities (face painting, games, rides, fishing booth, dunking machine, etc.), entertainment (contests, live music, contests, etc.), and an evening concert by Cold Creek (8:30pm) followed by fireworks (10pm). Sandy City 4th of July Celebration: Sandy City celebrates the 4th of July with a 5K Fun Run, the 10K Sandy Classic, the Youth Arts Festival (10am-2pm), food and craft vendors, live entertainment, rides, a parade (6pm), an evening concerts (7:30pm), and fireworks (10pm). SLC's Fourth of July Celebration: Salt Lake City celebrates Independence Day with an evening of live music, food (for purchase), a pie eating contest, cake walks, kids' games, a huge water balloon fight, a DJ dance party, and fireworks. More info here.
