I've received several emails regarding Albertson's $5 catalina coupons and the mail-in-rebate not printing so I did some research. I've been on the phone all day and while I don't yet have all the answers, I do have some info that might be helpful to anyone wanting to go shopping.I'm working with several individuals right now at Albertson's and Kraft in trying to figure this out. They are all concerned and are trying to get to the bottom of this! If you've had issues, feel free to leave a comment on this post- they'll see it!
Three pieces of critical information:
Albertson's advertised several items as being part of the
Kraft promo that are not on the "official" Kraft rebate list.
Depending on how your store's receipt shows coupons,
the $25 total could be BEFORE or AFTER coupons!
There are 2 versions of the rebate address floating around
and we still don't know which one is correct.
I spoke with several individuals at Kraft and they confirmed that they WILL NOT honor a $20 rebate request if any of the items purchased are non-participating items.
The list below reflects the participating items and sizes. You can also print a copy here. I suggest taking a copy with you and very carefully make sure you get the correct items listed.
Here is a list of items that are on the Albertson's ad, but are unknown whether or not you'll receive the $20 mail-in rebate if you purchase them:- Nabisco Go Packs, $1
- Kraft Chips Ahoy cookies, 16 oz variety
- Kraft Grated Parmesan cheese, any variety
- Velveeta 1lb or 2 lb blocks
- Kraft Jell-O or Pudding, boxed variety (only 6-packs included)
- Nabisco Honey Maid Bees, Smores or Morning Sticks variety crackers
- Kraft Velveeta Shells & Cheese Dinner or Deluxe Macaroni & cheese, (anything over 7.25 oz)
- Planters Mixed Nuts (only varieties 9.25 oz and over are included)
- A-1 Steak Sauce, any varieties
- General Food Intl Coffee Drink Mix
$25 Total, Before or After Coupons: If your store displays all the coupons redeemed at the bottom of the receipt, then you will be able to submit your rebate for $25 BEFORE coupons. However, if your store displays the coupon right after the line-item amount, then you will have to add up to $25 AFTER coupons.
I think most of us at least here in Utah should still be able to do the $25 before coupons. The only store around here that shows the coupon after the line item is Target.
Rebate address: There are 2 different addresses right now- one for Texas, the other for Ohio.

Can I just say I love you. After reading about these problems on PYP I've been worried about this all day, so I haven't gone to Albertsons yet. Yet I KNEW you were probably apprised of the situation and that I should just wait and you' d help us get all sorted out. And then.... there was this post. Thanks! Thank you! I have literally been on the phone all day. I've talked to 4 different people at Kraft and have gotten 4 different responses to these questions. Thankfully, I have a GREAT contact at Albertson's who is doing all she can to get Kraft & Albertson's & Catalina Marketing on the same page!! I will certainly keep you all posted.
Thanks for the great info. I'm wondering if you know if we have to send in the UPC codes for this rebate like we do for the kellogg's one? I don't see it anywhere but I figured you'd know the best.
I found a UPC list on-line for the rebate. I made sure that everything I purchased was on the UPC list and the catalinas printed fine.

I checked some Albertsons receipts I have saved, and they have the coupons listed at the bottom of each "section" of the receipt, i.e., frozen food coupons are listed right after the frozen food items, produce coupons are listed right after the produce, etc. So you think those types of receipts qualify for the rebate with $25 before coupons? Thanks for all your help!!
Don't you think that if the rebate and cataline printed, then you must have gotten the correct items? I had about 26 dollars after coupons, and it printed even with the coffee drink mix.
Just to clarify on the coupons. My receipt has most of the coupons listed at the end, however my Planters coupon is listed right after my two Planters mixed nuts. It is at the end of that section (the grocery section, I think) but it immediately follows the Planters nuts and specifically says Planters on the coupon. I don't know if this will make it difficult to receive my rebate but I just wanted others to know so they don't assume that the coupons will all be listed at the end.

One of the problems here is that Kraft, Albertson's, Catalina marketing and whatever 3rd (4th?) party company processing the rebates all have to work together on this. Part of the issue is that even though sometimes the catalinas are printing for the rebate, we need to make sure they're then not rejected when the 3rd party company processes the rebate!
One thing I wanted to add- Albertson's is being so wonderful with all this! I know they will take care of everyone, regardless of if you bought any of the items I listed. There was obviously some miscommunication somewhere and they completely understand that we, as consumers are not at fault. I'm confident that they will take care of this!
So even if our rebate form printed out will there be a chance that when we send it in and they look at our receipt we may not get the rebate? Unfortunatly I went today and I wish I would have waited until this was all figured out!
I also went today and my $5 coupon printed but no seperate paper for the rebate??? Is that what there is supposed to be is a seperate paper for the rebate? HELP
I've already opened many of my food items or frozen my shredded cheese, so it's not like I can return anything. I definitely don't want to be stuck with $25 worth of food I wouldn't have necessarily bought if it wasn't free. do you think albertson's will take responsibility for this?
Wow. I wish I would have seen this sooner. Everything I bought was on the right list except the individual packs of Jello. I already mailed my stuff for the rebate too!
My question is this: if the individual packs of jello don't qualify, why did a rebate form print at the register?
My coupons are listed at the bottom, but I am worried because my total price paid was only 6.97 because I used coupons and my $15 in cats from the sale last week. One lady was saying that she markers through everything that is not the specific items needed for the rebate (coupons, total paid, etc) so they don't even know if you used coupons, etc. Do you think this would work for this rebate or would they reject the receipt because it was marked through?

I know the catalina promos are entered by the store. So, if Albs entered wrong products into the promo, the cat would print but you wouldn't get the rebate...unfortunately. So, if Albs & the catalina company are "matching" but they in error but the wrong items as part of the $25 promo, this could be sticky.
I too am waiting on this one to get resolved.
The deals aren't that great, but you have to lok at it as free groceries! I bought pizza, mac n cheese, and cheese slices. I would normally buy these anyway... but now it's free!

After reading these, I looked at my receipt. I bought the items on the list but it doesn't look like it on the receipt. For example, the mayo rang up at "seasonal" on my receipt. And hardly any of the items have the actual Kraft name next to the item bought. Comment???
i did this deal and it consisted of chips ahoy 16oz and caprisun juice the cat and rebate printed just fine for me at vancouver wa.
I'm not sure how Albertsons can help those of us who already mailed our rebate form & receipt in. How can we verify with Al's that we bought the items, without the receipt?
Oh this is just ridiculous! I completed two full promo transactions and bought a whole lot of products that I wouldn't have ever bought at these prices!
I checked my receipt and the total before coupons is no where to be found. They only listed the after coupon total. I expect my rebate! Grrrr :>
