Swagbucks: Q&A

Reminder- today is MEGA SWAG BUCKS DAY!! Search! Search! Search! Your chances of earning 3-100 Swagbucks in one search drastically increases on Fridays! Remember- all it takes is 45 Swag bucks for a $5 Amazon.com gift card!! Start now and you can have at least $10-$15 towards a holiday gift! {There are 43 days until Christmas!}

A few questions I get most often:

Q. What internet pages result in earning Swagbucks?

A. They all do! Swagbucks is a Google-Ask.com combined search engine. By simply using it, you'll earn Swagbucks. As you go about your searching, you'll just randomly earn one, or two, or five! {Or on Fridays, even more!!} It's not site-specific.

Q. I've heard of Swagbucks, but I don't understand what all the hype is about. Can you tell me what the benefits are for earning them?

A. As you search the internet and collect Swagbucks, you can then redeem them towards e-gift cards, or a myriad of other items! A $5 amazon.com e-giftcard is only 45 Swagbucks. A $20 e-gift card to Target.com is 220 Swagbucks. Save up 3,000 and you can get an Apple i-Touch!
The thing I like about it is that it doesn't take any extra effort on your part. By doing something you'd normally do, you simultaneously earn Swagbucks.

Q. About how many Swagbucks can you earn a day?

A. It really depends on how much searching you do! I've never won more than 1 per hour. I'm on and off the computer a lot during the day and I generally win 3-5 each day. It adds up fast though 3 each day equates to 90 in a month, 1080 in a year- which is $120 in amazon.com cash to use! You can buy quite a few packages of diapers or wipes from amazon with $120!!

For those of you who have been using Swagbucks to do your internet searching, I wanted to give a couple tips on claiming prizes. You can get up to 5 of each prize each month. That means you can claim five $5 amazon gift cards each month, then you have to claim other prizes. Prizes post to your account on the 15th and 30th of each month. So those who are saving for Christmas, make sure you claim prizes by December 14th, so that the codes are in your account on the 15th for you to use!!

How many searches do you really do a day? I've been signed up for 4 months and I only have 22 Swagbucks still. I rarely see them, and when I do, it's just one at a time. I have NEVER gotten ANY on Fridays. Any hints?

The first 2-3 weeks, I earned hardly nothing. Seriously, I had maybe 5 total for those 3 weeks. But I just kept using the toolbar and searched using it all the time. After about 3 weeks, I gradually just started earning more and more. Now, 5 months later, it's to the point where, like I said, I am earning several each day.

I think Swagbucks is much more specific to how often you're searching through their toolbar, site, etc. I use the toolbar EVERY time I do a search and do about 5-20 searches each day.

One tip I have- it takes a couple extra steps, but it pays off. Instead of using your favorites on your web browser, do a Swagbucks search instead. If you have Hotmail in your favorites and you use it everyday to check your email, do a swagbucks search instead. That way, it's not like you're having to come up with something to search online, kwim?
