Before sales and coupons, my total came to $162.34.
After scanning my Smith's card it dropped to $102.55.
Then I handed over a nice stack of coupons and my final total was $68.93.
So I saved 57%!
A few highlights of my trip:
Pillsbury Pie Crusts, marked down to .25 each!
- Used .50/2 coupon from 11/15 or 11/22 SS
- Final price: Two for FREE!
- Use $1/1 from 1/31 SS
- Final price: $1.49
- Use $1/1 coupon here
- Load this .55/2 Cellfire e-coupon, or this .55/2 Shortcuts e-coupon onto your Smith's card
- Final price: Two for .43 total!
- {Yes, Smith's corporate says it's OK to stack e-coupons with paper coupons.}
This one was my favorite. Fiber One bars were $1.99 after MS promo- not that great of price. However, we really like these, and the .40/1 coupon I had with me made it somewhat of a better deal. There were only a few boxes left, and the one in the way back was seriously munched. After inspecting the box, I realized it had a BOGO Fiber One yogurt coupon on the back- which suddenly made it very appealing! I asked a Smith's associate if he'd be willing to discount the box for it being squashed and he gladly marked it down to $1.06!
I already had a FREE product coupon for Fiber One yogurt I got during a promo last year. So I was able to get the box of granola bars for .17, plus two packs of Fiber One yogurt for FREE! This is a good example of why I never rush to use a free product coupon! You can read more about my strategy on using free product coupons here.

You actually waited?? I was wondering why you hadn't put a pic of your trip on here yet. I couldn't wait. I'm not going to lie, I've been 3 times. Did you know when you buy 2 cases of the Arrowhead 24 packs of water you get a $2 off coupon? The more you get the higher credit you get. Up to $5.
I love following your site! It motivates me. Now I just need to get a Sunday paper!
Can you raincheck at Smiths if they are out of an item? What about price matching at Walmart, will they honor the "if you buy 10" price?
I just went to Smith's today and got ICBNB (butter), La Victoria Salsa, goldfish, frozen broccoli, and ice cream sandwhiches for about $1! I love this sale, and I'm glad to see it's going on next week too! I love all of the coupons available that make these products free or just pennies.
nice job!!! Is it just me, or does sour cream NOT freeze??
You did awesome! I'm on my way to smiths now! Hope I can have an awesome experience too.
I went in tonight to get 2 boxes of crackers to fill up my Nabisco rebate, and walked out with over $100 worth of groceries for $33. I was so excited!! I usually save about 40-50% each trip, but to get over 70% there with no clearence items was amazingly fun!! Thanks for all of your help and ideas.
Awesome! Thanks for always sharing your trips, it motivates me to go too. I went today and scored BIG! My total was $193 and went down to $72 after coupons and the card. I posted about it on my blog.
I just finished putting my items away from my Smiths shopping spree! Purchased 103 items, before discounts or coupons total was $306.23, after discounts, coupons and rewards, $93.46. I used a $50 gift card I received from taking my car into the dealership to get some warranty work done and oop $43.46! Great day of shopping.
I had a lovely surprise at Smith's I bought 4 arrowhead waters and got 2 6 packs free using coupons. A $5 off your next order coupon printed out!
Has anyone else had problems with Smith's not taking e-coupons and printables for the same item? I've noticed the last couple of times I've gone in, that only one of the two is going through. If I go through the self-checkout, the printable beaps b/c the e-coupon has already gone through. If I go through the check-out line, the printable goes through but not the e-coupon. When I asked the manager about it I was told that they do not accept more than one coupon per item. Whichever goes through first is the one accepted. This I just assumed was their new policy and that we would no longer be able to stack e-coupons and printables. But in reading this post that doesn't appear to be the case. Am I missing something?
