If you've been wanting to try out the Discovery Gateway, you'll get your chance next week! On Wednesday, March 17th, go celebrate St. Patrick's day with FREE admission to the Discovery Gateway! The museum is located in the Gateway mall and is open from 10am- 6pm.
If you've never been before, I think the Discovery Gateway is a wonderful place for kids to play! There are some activities and exhibits for older children, but I'd say most of the museum is focused on children 10 and under. There are no eating facilities as well and if you bring a lunch, the only place to eat at the museum is outside, so plan accordingly! {You can always go eat somewhere in the Gateway, but most of the restaurants are on the other side of the mall as well.}

I'm sorry to be a party pooper, but if it is free it will be sooo crowed and not fun. I would suggest using a 2 for 1 coupon that are all over right now and go in the afternoon when it is less crowed.
Cheryl, can you give a webiste for the 2 for 1?
Cheryl- you might be surprised! I've taken my 3 kids to several of the free admission events held around SLC each year. If you go first thing or during traditonal "nap times" it's much less crowded. Not only that, but on a Wednesday, where many kids are in school, lots of people just won't bother.
Plus, your kids don't notice the crowds, only you and just remember- it's FREE and seeing the joy on their faces makes it worth it! ;)
Anon- there is a 2 for 1 coupon in the Sunday paper each week. It's in the TV guide portion.
They have them every week in the TV guide section of the Deseret News and in other mailed out coupon newsletter things.
Thanks!!!
