The highlight of the trip was the day we spent in the Betty Crocker test kitchens! We were divided into groups and each group rotated through four stations where we baked brownies, cookies, delectable breakfasts and then got to learn some new ideas to include our kids in the kitchen. We were able to turn traditional Betty Crocker items, like sugar cookie mix, into new and innovative desserts which were so delicious!
{Pic is the view from above, into the test kitchens,
all nice and clean before we invaded them!}
Everyone in the test kitchens was amazing! They were so kind to share their knowledge with us! I loved being able to put our own spin on desserts- and who wouldn't when you have a fully-stocked kitchen?! I am looking forward to re-creating many of the recipes here at home and of course will share them all with everyone. I came home with so many great ideas for recipes, I can't wait to try them out!
In the mean time, here are a few pictures of the event! I met so many wonderful bloggers, three whom I traveled with from Utah! Go check out their blogs: Laura from Real Mom Kitchen, Deborah from Taste and Tell, and Jamie from Jamie Cooks it Up! These ladies are fabulous and I learned so much from them.
{Here are a few other bloggers and I taking a break. I was typing up the Smith's list- tee hee!}
A huge thanks to General Mills for inviting me and covering all the costs for the trip! I enjoyed and appreciated every minute of it!
