Swimsuit season is upon us! Couldn't you guess by the 40 degree temperatures outside?! Snow might be forecasted for tomorrow, but before we know it we'll be running the air conditioner, sitting outside eating Popsicles while watching the kids splash in the kiddie pool. Our family is going on a vacation to St. George this year, so I am excited to get some use out of this new swim suit DownEast Basics just sent me.

If you normally buy suits from big box stores, let this be the year you venture away from that norm! You won't regret it. I started buying suits from Modbe a few years ago and absolutely love them. First and foremost, they're cute and stylish. They're well made, quality suits that last a long time. They're budget friendly and, did I mention cute? They offer a variety of cuts and styles that make you actually like wearing a swimsuit again! I'm tall, so I appreciate the longer tops and love the fact that they have skirts that are fitted, as opposed to frilly.

You can check out the full DownEast 2012 Swim Suit line here. You can see the DownEast line as well as the Modbe line, which has a bit of a retro look. I opted for the Sausalito Halter with the Skipper Skirt. Love it! My only complaint is that the color looks different than what's pictured online. I expected varying shades of pink/ mauve, instead it's more a peach/ burnt orange color. Still cute, but a bit of a surprise when I pulled it out of the packaging! So keep that in mind- the colors are probably brighter than how they appear online.
