I'm excited! Zaycon Foods is holding a honey event here in Utah! Register with Zaycon here and you can see the details of this event. We have until March 18th to place an other. Pick up is March 19th- 21st, depending on the location you choose. They have locations across the state!
The honey is pure, unfiltered, unprocessed raw honey that comes from local beekeepers across Northern Utah. It's sold in one gallon buckets. For $69 you get 2 buckets- 24lbs total. That works out to be $2.88 per pound! To compare, raw honey goes for about $5-$7+ per pound on Amazon!
Honey is a great addition to your food storage. It's also a perfect substitution for sugar in baked goods. You can see a list of Pros & Cons regarding raw honey here.
Here is some info about Clover Honey from TheHoneyJar.com: Clover honey is a light colored mildly sweet honey. This honey has been packaged in a 1 gallon pail containing 12 lbs of honey. Each pail is weighed to ensure that you get everything that you pay for and usually a little more. Most beekeepers won't go through the trouble of weighing each pail but we know that the little extra effort helps to ensure customers are satisfied. Its just the way we do business.
This would be really easy to split among friends, family & neighbors. Find a friend and place an order, you'll each get a bucket of honey for $35.54 after tax! See more info here.

What is the shelf life on this?
Do you know off hand if they use local products in their sourcing? Would it be a local honey? (No worries if you don't know. Just curious.) Thanks!
@Heidi
Raw honey has a very long shelf life. In fact raw honey several thousand years old has been found to be good still. Raw honey will crystallize however that does not mean it has gone bad. Unlike pasteurized honey the crystallization process creates a very smooth consistency that is easily warmed back to a liquid state and is usable both liquid and solid. Pasteurized honey however sugars with a very coarse texture that is difficult to reliquify without higher temperatures. Most people find that crunchy sugared honey unappealing and simply throw it away. So to answer your question while this honey will last a very very long time on your shelf you only have to worry about that if you can keep it on the shelf and and out of your tummy.
@Jenheadjen, This is in fact local honey. We are located right here in Honeyville, Utah.
I have a question about Zaycon in general -- how often do they have sales events like this? Do they offer different products each month? I have family coming in from both CA and AZ next month and I'm trying to decide if I should order meat in their areas and have them bring it out for me or if there should be a new sale out here soon. Thanks so much!

When I get the gallon sized buckets is it better to transfer the honey to smaller jars for use, like mason jars? Once the buckets are opened does the shelf life change or can you keep dipping into the same bucket?
Just an FYI, you can get raw honey from Perry Honey Farm in Farmington UT for only $25 for 12 lbs ($2.08/lb. They also have 6 lb containers and little honey bears. I have gone there for years and LOVE their honey. You need to call before you go to make sure they are home (801) 451-2346. and they are just off Shepard Lane (1162 N Main Farmington Ut)

Sakura- you can keep dipping into the same bucket as long as it has an airtight seal, which is does. I'm planning on emptying 1 bucket into Mason jars initially and storing the other bucket for now.
