We upgraded to a Canon Pixma printer (different model) a while back because we wanted a wireless printer so that we could print from all of our computers without having to go plug in all the time! I've been very happy with the quality, and while the ink is somewhat expensive to replace on Canon printers, I have had really good luck with some of the cheaper, non-Canon brand ink cartridges. They seem to last just as long, the print quality is still really good, and these types of cartridges are so much cheaper! One time I made the mistake of buying a printer without checking to make sure that I could get cheaper cartridges, only to find out later that I couldn't find anything compatible with that printer except for the super expensive name-brand cartridges! Every time I had to replace the ink, I was paying almost as much as I had paid for the printer itself!

Thanks for sharing the printer deal. We have an Epson and as far as I know we can only buy the Epson ink, which is expensive! Where do you get the knock -off brand of ink for your cannon printer. We may just buy this printer so we can buy cheaper ink. Thank you!
There is actually a link in the post to the cartridges that work for this printer...on Amazon! I have purchased some through other ink companies, but have found that Amazon's prices are very similar, if not better and I purchase a lot of other stuff from them so it just ends up being easier. I have not purchased from this exact seller before, but the reviews are good and you can get a 20-pack of ink cartridges for $29.99 with free shipping. I have also purchased cartridges from supermediastore.com before and have been very happy with the ink there. It looks like they have ones that are compatible with this printer also.
